Ideas :: "the best innovators are people who..."

"Innovators tend to network with people different than they are. Evidence suggests that the best innovators are people who read outside of their industry, interact with people from many different backgrounds and interests and seek to bring solutions from outside their industry to the table. People who are very deep in one industry but ignore signals and solutions from other industries are usually not very innovative."
Innovate on Purpose

If you are a person of faith... do you do this when it comes to church? If not, why not?

I think it is essential to listen to and consider deeply "signals and solutions" from various people and churches. We are God's people though fragmented at the moment and God speaks to us in a variety of ways. In a spirit of humility and exploration we can learn from one another.
