Today...

Really struggled to go to church today... I really didn't want to deal with some people...but I made the effort and it was worth it.

Our Divisional Commanders-to-be, Ivor & Carol Telfer led with worship and thankfulness as their themes... They were a real challenge to me: They spoke on our priorities and referenced the following:

Jesus said, "Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence."

Matthew 22: 37 (The Message)

I spend so much time on me... my blog or with my stuff. I do not invest enough time in my relationship with God. Worship comes from "worth-ship" where we acknowledge the worth and value of something... and I need to acknowledge my appreciation for what my Lord has done for me. Its about a whole-of-life, 24-7-365 expression of love... in everything I do.

This song was used today to sum things up and I love it... I use it as a prayer for my life - all that I am - my loves and passions and geeked-out excitements are for Him.

In addition, I need to prioritise my time and focus my attention on my wife and kids... and express my love to them through simple everyday activity... In doing so, I continue to worship my Lord and hopefully make this world a wee bit better with me in it.
