BBC's Open News Archive
There are three reasons why I pay my License Fee (other than the fact that I must...) First is the BBC's News coverage - I think it is second to none - and second and third are Doctor Who and Strictly Come Dancing. I now have a fourth reason - the Open News Archive. Under the Creative Archive Licence, I can download over 80 news clips of significant events in quicktime and use them for non-commercial uses such as presentations and visual backdrops. I think this is great and commend the BBC for their progressive view of their content. Check it out here: Link
